Cosmograph Daytona
A 40 mm steel chronograph with a tachymeter bezel, white dial and black counters.
The Daytona came out in 1963 and is named after the racetrack in Florida. It is a chronograph: it times events up to 12 hours using the two counters on the dial.
The scale on the bezel is a tachymeter. Start the chronograph at one marker, stop it at the next one a kilometre or mile later, and the seconds hand points to your average speed.
Reference 126500LN was released in 2023 with calibre 4131. The white dial and black ceramic bezel are the combination most people picture.
