Santos de Cartier, Large
The square watch with exposed screws, first made in 1904 for an aviator.
In 1904 Louis Cartier made a watch for the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, who wanted to read the time without taking his hands off the controls. It is one of the first men’s wristwatches.
The square bezel and the bracelet carry visible screws. This large steel model comes with a steel bracelet and a leather strap; both use the QuickSwitch system to change without tools.
The movement is the automatic calibre 1847 MC.
