Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin

The closest current model to the original 1972 Royal Oak, 8.1 mm thick.

Gérald Genta designed the Royal Oak, which Audemars Piguet launched in 1972. It was a steel sports watch priced like a gold one, with an octagonal bezel held by eight hexagonal screws and a bracelet built into the case.

The “Jumbo” keeps the original 39 mm size and the “Petite Tapisserie” dial in the “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” colour.

Reference 16202 introduced calibre 7121 in 2022. Case and bracelet are hand-finished steel, alternating satin and polished surfaces.
